MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JULY 9, 2003
The City Administrator indicated that any action this evening on the
revised PUD should be subject to satisfactory review of the City Planner
and City Engineer, subject to a screening plan for the canopy at the back
of the Council 82 site, subject to specific details relative to outdoor
storage, and subject to verification of the parking layout. The
Administrator noted that the City Planner is recommending that parking,
drives, and access at~eas be paved and curbed. The Administrator asked
for Council direction on that issue.
Fahey felt it did not make sense to pave the area where the future building
on Lot 3 is proposed to be located.
Johnson asked about landscaping and screening for Lot 3. The City
Administrator noted that the outdoor storage area would need to be
screened from view of the public right-of--way that includes Country Drive
and Spruce Street.
Fahey felt that relative to curbing and paving that the roadway for
circulation around the site should be paved and curbed. Johnson indicated
that it would be problematic to curb that road given it would restrict access
into the outdoor storage area. Fahey suggested that the road at least be
paved, and felt this would show Mr. Johnson's spirit of compromise.
Blesener felt that the Council and Mr. Johnson were close to an agreement
for the revised PUD, but noted that the second user of Lot 3 was likely not
feasible from the City's standpoint.
There was no one else from the general public present wishing to
comment on this matter.
Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Blesener, the public hearing was
closed.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOI. UTION NO. 2003-7--147 - TA73LING ACTION ON THE
REVISED PUD FOR DRYWALL SUPPLY PENDING REVIEW AND
COMMENT 73Y THE CITY PLANNER, CITY ENGINEER, AND CITY
b'TAFF ON THE REVISED PL AN PRESENTED THIS EVENING:
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Anderson, Fahey.
Nays (0).
