MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 23, 2003 <br />*APPROVAI. OF USE DEEDS FOR TAX-FORFEITED <br />PROPERTIES AS RECOMMENDED BY CITY STAFF; <br />*APPROVAL OF THE ESTA737,ISHMENT OF CSAH 19 <br />(CENTERVILLE ROAD FROM L ITTLE CANADA ROAD TO <br />EDGERTON STREET) AS A COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY; <br />*APPROVAL OF THE INMAN DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITYADMINISTRATOR <br />TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Fahey, Anderson, Montour. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />RECESS At this point in the meeting, 8:55 p.m., Council took a short recess. The <br />meeting was reconvened at 9:00 p.m. <br />SHERMAN The City Administrator reported that City staff and Sherman Associates <br />ASSOCIATES - have reached agreement on the proposed Development Agreement and <br />THE VILLA'S Purchase Agreement for The Villa's a 44-unit townhome development <br />AND THE proposed on Little Canada Road behind The Lodge. Agreement has also <br />VILLAGE been reached on Development Agreement and Purchase Agreements for <br /> The Village, acommercial/retail development proposed along the east side <br /> of Rice Street and north of Little Canada Road. It was noted that at this <br /> point, redevelopment of the US Bank site is not included in the The <br /> Village project, but it can always be added in the future. The City <br /> Administrator reviewed the details of these Development Agreements and <br /> Purchase Agreements as outlined in his report dated July 18, 2003. <br />George Sherman, Sherman Associates, reviewed the completion schedule <br />included in the Development Agreement for the commercial/retail <br />development proposed for The Village. Sherman also reviewed the <br />changes that were approved by the Council for The Villa's which reduced <br />the number of townhome units from 52 to 44 and possibly 45. He noted <br />that developments have been tied together to create an incentive for him to <br />complete the commercial/retail north of Little Canada Road. <br />Sherman reviewed the proposed site plan for The Village, noting that he <br />would like to know if the Council had any concerns with the site plan <br />before he signs the Development Agreement. Sherman pointed out that he <br />made some minor modifications to this site plan in response to <br />recommendations by the City Planner related to access. Sherman also <br />13 <br />
