MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 8, 2003
It was also noted that the property owners, Mathew and Stephanie Galba
and Patrick St. George, will need a conditional use permit for the amount
of garage space that they are proposing to construct. Stephanie Galba
indicated that their plans have changed somewhat in that they will attach
all the garage space to the house, rather than having a detached garage.
Galba indicated they are proposing to construct 1,498 square feet of
garage and the Code allows between 1,000 and 1,500 square feet by
Conditional Use Permit.
Fahey indicated that the end result will be an improvement to the property
and will eliminate several non-conforming issues that currently exist.
Fahey also suggested that the property owners meet with the City Planner
and Building Official to ensure that their plans do not require any
variances.
Anderson questioned the Timely removal of the house at 2576 Edgerton
Street. It was noted that the property owner will deposit $15,000 with the
City to ensure that the house is removed.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOI UTION NO. 2003-LO-230 -APPROVING THE
DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT FOR 2576 AND 2580 EDGERTON
STREET AS RECOMMENDED 73Y THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR
SUI3.IECT TO REVIF.WAND APPROVAL. 73Y THE CITY ATTORNEY
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Anderson.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Anderson, Fahey, Montour, Blesener.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
OLD FIRE The Council noted that the request for amendment to the Old Fire Hall
HALL USE Use Policy will be considered at the October 22, 2003 Council meeting
POLICY in order to give the City staff an opportunity to make a recommendation
on this matter.
CHANGE The City Administrator reported that he is still waiting for information
ORDER FOR on the issue of debris removal in conjunction with the Market Place
MARKET PLACE Drive improvement project. Once he has that information, he will make
DEBRIS a recommendation to the Council on the potential for recovery of these
REMOVAL costs. However, in the meantime, the contractor should be paid for the
work that was done.
