MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />Januazy 2, 2003 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission <br />of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 2"`~ day of January, 2003 in the Council <br />Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair Sackett Glaser called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of the <br />Commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Ms. Ginger Sackett Glaser, Chair <br />Mr. James Broten <br />Ms. Gretchen Crary <br />Mr. David Gray <br />Mr. Craig Larson <br />Mr. Robert Schabacker <br />Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />Mr- Jim Morelan, P&.R Director <br />Mr. Bill Sanders, Parks Consultant <br />Ms. Kris Pechman, Recording Secretary <br />/ELCOME Sackett Glaser welcomed new Commissioner Gretchen Crary. <br />ELECTION Gray reconmzenderl that Sackett Glaser be nominated as Chair of tTze Commission and <br />OF' OFTICERS that Schabacker be nonzinaJerl as Vice-Clzair of t)ze Conznzission. <br />Motion seconded Gy 1 arson. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />MINUTES Broten reconznzenrlerl that the nzinutes,from the meeting dated December 5, 2002 be ahproi~ed <br />ras subnzitterL <br />Motion seconded by Sc/utbrccker. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />ICE CREAM The Commission was in favor of holding the ice cream social again with improved signage. <br />SOCIAL Schabacker asked if A&W Root Beer would be interested in donating again this year. The <br />Director said that he would have to contact them. <br />The Commission suggested holding the event in conjunction with an activity that would draw <br />Little Canada residents such as Canadian Days or a softball tournament. The Director stated <br />that holding the event in conjunction with Canadian Days could cause a conflict with the <br />vendors. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
