MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />April 3, 2003 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission <br />of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 3`a day of April, 2003 in the Council <br />Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said City. <br />Chair Sackett Glaser called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of the <br />Commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Ms. Ginger Sackett Glaser, Chair <br />Mr. James Broten <br />Ms. Gretchen Crary <br />Mr. David Gray <br />Mr. Craig Larson <br />Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />Mr. Robert Schabacker <br />Mr. Jim Morelan, P&R Director <br />Mr. Bill Sanders, Parks Consultant <br />Ms. Kris Pechman, Recording Secretary <br />MINUTES Broten commented that he felt the minutes to the March 24, 2003 meeting should be amended to <br />state the reason why Steinert had to leave early. He left on a fire call. <br />Broten recommended that the minutes oft/ze meetings on March 6, 2003 and March 24, 2003 <br />be approved as amended <br />Motion seconded by Gray. <br />Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />ICE CREAM The Director stated that the band leader of the Roseville Area High School (BARS) Jazz Band <br />SOCIAL has indicated that the last day they could perform at the park would be July 16 since their season <br />would be over. He asked if the Commission would want to move the social to another night. <br />Sackett Glaser stated that she favored the July 31s` date due to its close proximity to the <br />Canadian Days festival. She felt that the number of those attending would increase due to the <br />association with the Canadian Days celebration. She recommended investigating the use of <br />other local bands to replace the RAHS Jazz Band. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
