MINUTES
Parks & Recreation Commission
May 1, 2003
Reconstruction has been started on the Pioneer Park soccer fields.
The Arbor Day celebration was held on Friday, Apri125. The first grade classes from Little
Canada School ended up coming to the event so there weren't enough refreshments to go
around since they had called us only shortly before the event. It was suggested that the
Director discuss the future attendance by Little Canada School's first graders with the
school, noting that St. John's School's first graders should also be considered.
OTHER Schabacker asked for an update on Rondeau Park since he was not in attendance at the
neighborhood meeting, particularly about the playground equipment. The Director stated that
Sanders will get that project out for bids this summer and it will be installed after the rest of the
park construction is done near the end of the summer. Sanders is including a sand box feature in
place of the gazebo.
ADJOURN Schabacker recommended that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Gray.
Motion carried 7 - 0.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:18 p.m.
Respdctfiully submi d,
~% ~ris~e hma ~-
