MINUTES <br />Parks & Recreation Commission <br />February 7, 2002 <br />• A Youth Activity Schedule for 2002-2003 was handed out to the Commission. <br />• The LCRA is continuing to fund 20% of the cost of the youth recreational activities. <br />They also recently donated $4,000 toward the new St. John's School's basketball nets <br />and $104 toward the building use fee for the Girl Scouts' dance at Roseville Area Middle <br />School. The Softball on Ice Tournament raised $3,200 and a fundraising trip to Grand <br />Casino is scheduled in March. The LCRA also recently funded the Children's Skating <br />Party in the amount of $700. <br />• 55 Alive Driver Classes are scheduled in March and we are currently taking registrations <br />for summer Adult Softball. This year's softball will include Men's and Co-recreational <br />leagues. <br />TRAIL Schabacker asked about the status of the grant application for the trails. Sanders stated that <br />GRANT our application was not funded. He stated that he will be re-evaluating our application and <br />will re-submit it this year.
