LITTLE CANADA PARk CO?•~~'j,SSION MEETYNG <br />January Z8, 1982 <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />Present - Carl Spooner, Bev 6calze, Bill Sanders, Jia Tdorelan, Elaine Zoch, <br />Lois Runyon <br />Jim biorelan promised to put up a plaque when the snow melts on the <br />bandstand recognizing the Lions Club donation. <br />Elaine Zoch suggested that before the puppet wagon goes out this year <br />we get a picture and a story in the papers. <br />Bill Sanders said that before we buy the Turnquist property (if we do) <br />the state may grant acquistion money. There must be an appraisal and <br />the grant request needs to be made by bfarch or April. <br />Discussion on Spooner Park followed for spring work; <br />1. Let the bank in Spooner Park go wild with long grass and/or wild <br />flowers. <br />2. By the waterworks property across the ditch from Spooner look <br />into an archery range with bales and targets. <br />Bev Scalze mentioned that the city is looking <br />property off of Rice Street behind btacDonalds <br />station for a small shopping center. <br />Lois Runyon ~~.ade the motion that if the above <br />a re-sub-division ttie Park Commission recomme <br />that the city of Little Canada receive 10~ in <br />land. Seconded by Bill Sanders.
