Rob Anderson, Poolside, indicated that this display will be a low- <br />lying pool and ~~azebo display. <br />Keis pointed out that there is a lot of outdoor storage on this property. <br />Anderson replied that this is the purpose of the building addition. Once <br />the addition is constructed, the outdoor storage on the propet~Cy will be <br />eliminated. <br />The Deputy Clerl: reported that the property owner at 107 Australian <br />Avenue called to express concern that if the height of the Poolside <br />addition is too high, he ~n~ill lose privacy in his bacl: yard. Keis noted that <br />the proposed Poolside addition meeting the City's Code requirements <br />including; height restrictions. 'The City Planner indicated that the building <br />addition is proposed at 32 feet high. 'The Planner also indicated that the <br />addition has a large setback from County Road C. <br />The Planner reviewed the recommendations listed in the City Engineers <br />reporC dated July 9, 2002. <br />Stroman reported that (hey ~~,~ould comply ~~~ith the recommendations of <br />the City Gngincer including, moving the parking area to tive feet fi'om the <br />property line. <br />Knudsen recommended Architectural Review approval subject to the <br />following: <br />o llimination of one curb cut fi~om Jackson Street; <br />• Addition of cornice treatments along the roofline as <br />approved by the City Planner; <br />• Addition of windo~n~ and door emphasis on building <br />elevations; <br />• Additional low-level landscaping along Jackson Street; <br />• Flandicap parking stalls to be 8 '/ feet wide; <br />• Submission and approval of a grading/drainage plan <br />including drainage calculations; <br />• Si(e lighting to minimize lighting impacts on residents to <br />the ~n~est. <br />Resolution seconded by I'huay. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0 <br />
