Item Five: Retaining wall -- full engineering will, be required on retaining wall
shotiving its ability to support the street.
ProTerra Design Associates, Inc. has designed and engineered
hundreds of retaining walls and will submit to the city all required
documentation to support the design of the wall.
Item Six: Building structure proposed on the street entrance island.
ProTerra Design Associates, Inc, sees this as a brick structure with
a c.m.u. core. It will have a shingled roof which matches the
surrounding area and is either up lit or internally lit in what ever
niches are design. Basically this is only a concept and ProTerra
Design stands ready to work with the City of Little Canada.
Item Seven: 12 foot lanes around the entrance island may be too narrow.
The current width of the drive lanes as submitted is 12 feet. After
this submittal they will be widened to 14 feet in and out.
.Item Eight: Water main is shown outside the easement area (lot 14)
This condition no longer exists.
Item Nine: Looping of the water main may be required form the east end of
cul-de-sac to Viking drive.
This necessity of this is currently being researched with the city
engineer.
Item Ten: Hydrant spacing appears to be inadequate.
It appears on our plans that we fall with in required parameters on
this issue and that ProTerra Design Associates, Inc. worked with
the fire department in order to ensure proper placement.
Item Eleven: Shoreland vegetation alternation plan as required per Ordinances
903.020.6.11 and 917.040.
ProTerra Design Associates, Inc. understands this and will
complete this effort at the same time a native vegetation plan is
submitted to the watershed for the holding ponds. This is to ensure
continuity throughout the development.
7300 Hudson Boulevard, Suite 220 Oakdale.
