MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 11, 2016 <br />manhole, but the rest of the easements will be conveyed back to the <br />Metropolitan Council. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2016-1-17 — AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND <br />CITYADMINISTRA TOR TO EXECUTE QUITCLAIM DEEDS ON <br />BEHALF OF THE CITY TO RESOLVE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br />SEWER INTERCEPTOR TURN BACK EAEMENT ISSUES AS <br />PRESENTED BY THE CITYADMINISTRA TOR. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CALL FOR A The City Administrator stated that the City Council has requested to call a <br />WORKSHOP ON Workshop before the next City Council meeting on January 27, 2016, with <br />JANUARY 27, the Parks and Recreation Commission to discuss the Parks and Recreation <br />2016 Strategic Plan. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016-1-18 APPRO VE SCHEDULING A <br />WORKSHOP ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 27,2016 TO DISCUSS <br />THE PARKS AND RECREATION STRATEGIC PLAN. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />UPDATES Keis noted that the Council agenda has a list of various staff reports and <br />FROM STAFF the Council does not get to see these staff members very often. He asked <br />REQUEST if they could attend a Council meeting once in a while. The City <br />Administrator replied that he was planning to have the various city staff <br />members attend Council meetings when they have topics on the agenda. <br />He noted that it would likely start at a February Council meeting. <br />QUIET ZONE Torkelson asked if there was an update about the progress of the Quiet <br />UPDATE Zones. The City Administrator stated that he has contacted Canadian <br />Pacific several times and has not heard anything recently. He noted that <br />he had heard that the railroad may be having problems getting some of the <br />11 <br />
