MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />FEBRUARY 10, 2016 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 10th day of <br />February, 2016 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Tom Fischer <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Christian Torkelson <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />City Attorney Mr. Pat Kelly <br />City Clerk Ms. Heidi Heller <br />The purpose of this evening's meeting is for city staff to provide <br />information updates to the City Council. <br />RENAMING The City Administrator stated a petition was submitted to Ramsey County <br />SAVAGE LAKE to rename Savage Lake, and the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners <br />is willing to consider this request, subject to the input of the Little Canada <br />City Council. He noted the Deputy County Manager is going to discuss <br />the renaming with the Council, but she asked that tonight's discussion be <br />rescheduled. The Council agreed to reschedule the discussion to the <br />February 22"d workshop. <br />The City Administrator stated that he had included information in the <br />Council packet about the Minnesota Statutes regarding renaming bodies of <br />water. He noted that the process defined in Minnesota Statutes 83A <br />cannot be used if a name has existed for 40 years, and he thinks that the <br />Savage Lake name has existed for at least that long. <br />SEXUAL The City Attorney stated that recently Birchwood Village has been <br />PREDATOR contemplating enacting an ordinance that restricts where convicted sexual <br />ORDINANCE <br />
