3 <br /> <br /> 9. The Fire Department and the City Council held joint workshops during <br />2010 to review the Fire Truck Replacement Program. The result of these workshops was <br />a revised Fire Truck Replacement Plan and the annual funding of the Fire Truck <br />Replacement Program has been included in the City’s Capital Improvement Budget. As <br />part of this process, the Fire Department has agreed to contribute 50% of their <br />charitable gaming profits for 2014, net of the 10% tax, to aid in the purchase of fire <br />equipment. These funds will be transferred by the Fire Department to the City. <br />The City will place them in the Fire Equipment fund and they may only be used to assist <br />in making fire equipment purchases that are mutually agreed to by the City and Fire <br />Department. (Note: This highlighted in blue shall be revisited by the Long Range <br />Planning Committee and a recommendation to the City Council regarding the <br />continued inclusion of this language in the 2016 contract shall be made by February <br />19, 2016. <br /> <br />10. The Fire Department also identified other capital needs and a contingency <br />reserve totaling $36,219 for 2016. The Fire Department will be reimbursed for the <br />budgeted 2016 capital expenditures upon submitting the City proper documentation of <br />the expenditure or need for reserve draw.
