MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 22, 2016 <br />the likely buildings to consider are the fire station, the public works <br />facility and city hall. He noted that the deadline to enter the Minnesota <br />Solar Energy lottery is February 28tt1, otherwise the next opportunity to <br />apply is in January. He stated he was told that each building has a 30 <br />percent chance of being chosen, and there are two options for <br />participation. The City Administrator explained that there isn't a lot of <br />risk to the city to enter in to the PPA (Power Purchase Agreement), and <br />we should save about 30 percent on our annual electric charges. He noted <br />that the Council should decide if they want the city to move forward with <br />entering this lottery. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2016-2-46 — A UTHORIZE THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER THE LITTLE CANADA PUBLIC <br />WORKS B UILDING, CITY HALL AND THE FIRE STA TION INTO <br />THE MINNESOTA SOLAR LOTTERY. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
