MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 27, 2016
The City Administrator stated that change order #4 was for a new
microphone system. He explained that the Council was unhappy with the
setup for the existing microphones and there have been a lot of issues with
radio feedback on the sound. He noted that the current microphones are
not new, except for the bases, and staff has learned that the old
microphones are not in good working order and are not as compatible with
the new systems. He explained that the $13,200 cost is high for this new
microphone system, but it is all new materials and should solve the
problems.
Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTIONNO. 2016-4-80 APPROVEALPHA VIDEO CHANGE
ORDERS #3 AND #4 AS PRESENTED BY THE CITY
ADMINSTRATOR.
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis.
Ayes (4).
Nays (0). He stated that Xcel is finally getting their work done,
but it has now caused delays with the Canadian Pacific installation crew
who are now out of state working. He stated that it will be a couple of
weeks before they can get it done, and then the City has to do give a 21
day notice to Canadian Pacific and install signs for the Quiet Zones. He
explained that the timing for the Quiet Zones to become functional is
looking like late June. He noted that there are eight crossings that are
getting Quiet Zones installed right, six in Little Canada and two in
Shoreview, and they must all be completed and then will become
functional at the same time.
CITY-WIDE Montour announced the City-wide garage sale and stated that it will be a
GARAGE SALE three day format this year.
