<br /> <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Mayor Keis and Members of City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />DATE: April 8, 2016 <br /> <br />RE: City Engineer Rate Increase <br /> <br /> <br />Attached is a memo from City Engineer Lee Elfering requesting an increase in his hourly rates for <br />2016. As you will note, the general agreement made with Elfering & Associates in 2004 allows for <br />automatic annual rate increases, but the proposed increase is still well below what the engineer was <br />eligible for under the terms of our contract. Finally, it should also be noted that these rates will have <br />little impact on major projects that are capped by the percentage of construction costs. <br /> <br />Based on the above information and the quality service performed by Elfering & Associates, <br />staff recommends we approve the proposed hourly rate increase as requested.
