The project consists of
improvements on the following streets and improvement areas:

 Aspen Circle
 Demont Avenue (McMenemy Street to Savage Lane)
 Morrison Street (Demont Avenue to south end)
 Miscellaneous Watermain Repairs
 Rondeau Park Basketball Court
 Old Fire Hall East Driveway

The Council authorized the street improvements at the public hearings on January 25,
2016 and the remaining three improvements are smaller projects that are included in the
City’s 2016 budget. A brief description of each of the small improvements follows:

 Miscellaneous W atermain Repairs – This work includes excavation and repair of
leaking valves throughout the City. These repairs have typically been done by a
Contractor on a time and material basis, but staff felt that better pricing may be
obtained from competitively bidding them with a street project. It is important to
note that none of the repair areas are within the streets included in the project.

 Rondeau Park Basketball Court – Drainage around the basketball court area is
relatively poor and the wet conditions have caused deterioration of the south 1/3
of the court. The proposed improvements include the installation of some yard
inlets and draintile piping around the east and south end of the existing
basketball court along with removal and replacement of approximately 1/3 of the
basketball court.

 Old Fire Hall East Driveway – This improvement would include the construction
of a driveway on the east side of the existing Old Fire Hall building to access the
parking lot behind the building. Due to the limited property on the east side of the
building and the existing grades a retaining wall is necessary for the
improvement.
