MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MAY 25, 2016 improvement hearing is not required. The City Administrator stated that Staff recommends the Council accept the 100 percent petition for water service addition for 2947 Centerville Road, approve the feasibility report from the City Engineer's letter on May 13, 2016, and acknowledge that the property owner has agreed to be assessed 100 percent of the project costs for this improvement as evidenced by his acceptance of the City Engineer's May 13, 2016 letter. He noted that the cost is expected to be around $3,000. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2016-5-95 ACCEPTINGA 100 PERCENT PETITIONFOR A WATER SERVICE ADDITIONA T 2947 CENTERVILLE ROAD, APPROVE THE FEASIBILITYREPORT PROVIDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER ON MAY 13, 2016, AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE PROPERTY OWNER HAS AGREED TO BE ASSESSED 100 PERCENT FOR THE PROJECTS COSTS OF THIS IMPROVEMENT. NEW CITY HALL The Public Works Director stated that the concrete work is done at City AND FIRE Hall, so it is time to freshen up the landscaping around the building and at STATION the fire station. He explained that Bill Sanders prepared a plan for the Frie LANDSCAPING Department and the Ramsey County Conservation District put together a plan for City Hall. City Hall's plan includes native plants with a good mix of color from spring through fall, along with being fairly easy to maintain. He noted that mulch is recommended versus the existing rock because it holds in water better and acts as a weed barrier. He stated that the approximate cost for all materials for the City Hall plan is $5,300. He stated that $12,500 was budgeted for landscaping in 2016. The Public Works Director stated that the plan does not include the Little Canada Road side of the City Hall property, but City Staff or the work crew can do that after the front is done. He noted that he would like to also include funds to replace the drip line that is in the existing planting beds since it will likely be ripped up when removing shrubs, and some extra plants for along with the angled wall by the employee entrance.
