MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 20, 2016 <br />CALL FOR A <br />The City Administrator stated that in 2006, the City attempted to vacate <br />PUBLIC <br />the westerly 11 feet of right-of-way at 2935 Country Drive, but has now <br />HEARING FOR <br />realized that the resolution incorrectly stated the easterly 11 feet instead. <br />THE VACATION <br />He explained that the property is now being sold and a surveyor <br />OF RIGHT -OF- <br />discovered the error. He stated the City will need to go back through the <br />WAY AT 2935 <br />process to vacate the correct area, and since this is a City initiated <br />COUNTRY DRIVE <br />vacation, it will need to be approved by a 4/5ths vote of the Council. He <br />noted that a condition of the corrected vacation will be that the owner <br />rededicates the easterly 11 feet back to the City. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2016-6-113 — CALL FOR A PUBLIC HEARING <br />ON JULY 13, 2016 TO VACATE A PORTION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />AT 2935 COUNTR Y DRIVE. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
