He explained that the
UPDATE stormwater drainage in this area has been an issue in the past, but now that
construction is occurring on the streets, it is a good time to take a look at
what can be done. He stated the City Engineer has come up with some
solutions and is working on the costs. The City Administrator stated the
ditch could be cleaned out, but there does not appear to be any easements to
allow access to the ditch, although he assumes the City could work with
that property owner. He explained that unless the City wants to pay for all
of the drainage improvements, a public hearing must to be held again in
order to assess the property owners. He noted that it could be reasonable
for the City to pay for a portion of the costs since some water is coming off
of roads that are higher than the properties.
McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION 2016-8-141 -ACCEPTING THE CITY ENGINEER'S
AMENDED FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE RYAN IND USTRIAL
AREA IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 2016-4.
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer.
Aye (4).
Nays (0).
