MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />AUGUST 24, 2016 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 24`x' day of <br />August, 2016 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. John Keis <br />Council Member Mr. Tom Fischer <br />Council Member Mr. Christian Torkelson <br />Council Member Mr. Mike McGraw <br />ABSENT: Council Member Mr. Rick Montour <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Parks & Rec Director Mr. Jim Morelan <br />Recreation Supervisor Ms. Katie McGinnity <br />Parks Consultant Mr. Bill Sanders <br />Parks & Rec Commission Mr. Dave Miller <br />Parks & Rec Commission Mr. Ron Horwath <br />Parks & Rec Commission Mr. Peter Schletty <br />Parks & Rec Commission Ms. Sharen Darling <br />Parks & Rec Commission Mr. Tom Ray <br />Parks & Rec Commission Ms. Rose Chu <br />City Clerk Ms. Heidi Heller <br />The purpose of this evening's meeting is for the City Council to have a <br />joint discussion with the Parks and Recreation Commission about the <br />mission/vision statement and goals, future Parks and Recreation <br />Department staffing, and review of the capital improvements priority list. <br />REVIEW PARKS Councilmember Fischer reviewed the mission statement and list of goals. <br />& RECREATION There was consensus with the Parks and Recreation Commission that <br />MISSION these were complete and ready for City Council approval. Fischer stated <br />STATEMENT AND he is willing to continue working with the Parks and Recreation <br />GOALS Commission to complete the vision statement piece. <br />
