MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING CITY COUNCIL LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA AUGUST 24, 2016 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 24`x' day of August, 2016 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and the following members of the City Council were present at roll call: CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. John Keis Council Member Mr. Tom Fischer Council Member Mr. Christian Torkelson Council Member Mr. Mike McGraw ABSENT: Council Member Mr. Rick Montour ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel Hanson Parks & Rec Director Mr. Jim Morelan Recreation Supervisor Ms. Katie McGinnity Parks Consultant Mr. Bill Sanders Parks & Rec Commission Mr. Dave Miller Parks & Rec Commission Mr. Ron Horwath Parks & Rec Commission Mr. Peter Schletty Parks & Rec Commission Ms. Sharen Darling Parks & Rec Commission Mr. Tom Ray Parks & Rec Commission Ms. Rose Chu City Clerk Ms. Heidi Heller The purpose of this evening's meeting is for the City Council to have a joint discussion with the Parks and Recreation Commission about the mission/vision statement and goals, future Parks and Recreation Department staffing, and review of the capital improvements priority list. REVIEW PARKS Councilmember Fischer reviewed the mission statement and list of goals. & RECREATION There was consensus with the Parks and Recreation Commission that MISSION these were complete and ready for City Council approval. Fischer stated STATEMENT AND he is willing to continue working with the Parks and Recreation GOALS Commission to complete the vision statement piece.
