MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP
AUGUST 24, 2016
REVIEW PARK Miller stated that the Parks & Recreation Commission updated their list of
CAPITAL park capital improvements. He stated that items 1 through 9 are listed in
IMPROVEMENTS order by top priority, and the rest of the list is to just make sure that those
PRIORITY LIST projects were included. He noted that some projects were from older lists
that are being carried over. Keis stated some of the bigger items obviously
need to have a discussion because of the high costs. Miller stated there is
not anything listed for Veteran's Memorial Park since the committee is
still working on a master plan. He explained that the City will be taking
over the park and then funds will be needed. Fischer stated that he expects
the Veteran's Committee will turn the park over to the City on Memorial
Day 2017 and then let the Parks & Recreation Commission decide on
future plans. The Parks Consultant stated the costs listed for each project
should not be too far off since they are based on real numbers.
ADJOURN There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:28 p.m.
11-,---]
.0 ,,
f6
, ---
John . leis, Mayor
Atte4soJoelan-n,
/
City Administrator
