<br /> <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Mayor Keis and Members of City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br /> <br />DATE: September 23, 2016 <br /> <br />RE: Revised Job Description for Parks & Recreation Leadership Position <br /> <br />Several members of the City Staff, including Jim Morelan and Katie McGinnity, met in late August to <br />discuss revisions to the Parks & Recreation Director’s job description based on comments made at the <br />joint Council/Commission workshop held on August 24th. You will note that we did not include a title <br />for this job at this time given the comment about possible restructuring that occurred at the workshop <br />that included possibility of combining other duties with this position. <br /> <br />The Parks & Recreation Commission reviewed the draft job description at their meeting of September <br />8th. The only modifications they made to the draft were to re-order some of the job duties to have them <br />flow more logically. The attached description reflects the modifications they made. <br /> <br />Staff is looking for any comments the Council may have on the job description so we are able to <br />finalize it in the not too distant future.
