MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />SEPTEMBER 14, 2016 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 14th day of <br />September, 2016 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at <br />515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: <br />I:� • <br />Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />City Administrator <br />City Engineer <br />City Cleric <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Mr. Tom Fischer <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Mr. Christian Torkelson <br />Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Mr. Lee Elfering <br />Ms. Heidi Heller <br />IMPROVEMENT <br />Mayor Keis opened the Public Hearing to consider additional storm sewer <br />NO. 2016-04 RYAN <br />improvements in the Ryan Industrial Park. <br />INDUSTRIAL <br />PARK STREET <br />The City Engineer reported that the purpose of tonight's hearing is to <br />PROJECT— <br />present the proposed amendment to the approved street improvement <br />AMENDMENT <br />project in the Ryan Industrial Park to the City Council and impacted <br />FOR <br />property owners. This meeting gives property owners the opportunity to <br />STORMWATER <br />provide input and/or voice concerns about the project. The City Council <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />will then determine whether or not the additional improvements move <br />forward. <br />The City Engineer stated the reason for this improvement hearing was to <br />consider amending the original improvement project to add storm sewer <br />improvements to this area. He stated after more complaints this year <br />about flooding in the industrial park, he is proposing to do storm sewer <br />improvements since the streets will be worked on right now. He explained <br />that the plan is to install some additional catch basins along Spruce Street <br />and increase the size of the existing storm sewer pipe, which will also <br />extend the life of the streets. He stated these extra costs are estimated to <br />be around $50,000, and this hearing was called because these costs were <br />
