The Commission discussed getting new fencing for
the fields and leveling the edge of the grass and the dirt from the field. The
Director explained this idea had come from the Little Canada Recreation
Association (LCRA), and the Association may be willing to fund the
reconstruction. Chair Miller asked how the project would proceed if the
LCRA financed the project. The Director reasoned the City would get an
estimate and then ask the LCRA for the funds. Chair Miller asked about
the timeline for the project. The Director explained the reconstruction
would have to be done this fall in order to minimize field impact. Schletty
wondered if the LCRA would also like to put an electronic scoreboard in
because that was another idea the LCRA President had reported to the
Commission earlier this year. The Director thought since the current
scoreboard had been donated by the LCRA, they would most likely decide
not to. Horwath made a motion to recommend to the Council the approval
MINUTES
GILBERTSON
FIELD
RECONSTRUCTION
