MINUTES <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />July 19, 2016 <br />The Recreation Supervisor reported that Fall Adult Softball Registration <br />was now open and youth softball and baseball were just wrapping up. The <br />8th/9th grade baseball team coached by Tom Roycraft won the Maplewood <br />Championship and went on to win the playoff tournament. <br /> <br />The Recreation Supervisor reported the Farmers Market was underway <br />and would continue through October 10. The Farmers Market is every <br />Monday from 2:30 – 6:00, excluding Labor Day. Chair Miller asked how <br />vendors could participate. The Recreation Supervisor explained vendors <br />can choose to pay for a whole season for $150 or pay per session which is <br />$20 per session. The Director wanted to recognize the Ramsey County <br />Master Gardener’s Association which has a representative come out to the <br />market each week to answer questions. Bill Suchy, a Little Canada <br />resident, and Master Gardener himself, comes to help out at the Farmers <br />Market every week. <br /> <br />The City Administrator reported hot dog with a deputy would be taking <br />place on August 8th from 5 – 7pm at Pioneer Park.
