MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />August 4, 2016 <br /> <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & <br />Recreation Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held on <br />the 4th day of August in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road East in said city. <br /> <br /> Chair Dave Miller called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the following <br />members of the commission were present: <br /> <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Rose Chu <br /> Ms. Sharen Darling <br /> Mr. Ron Horwath <br /> Mr. Dave Miller <br /> Mr. Tom Ray <br /> Mr. Peter Schletty <br /> Ms. Patti Sullivan <br /> <br /> ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Jim Morelan, Parks and Rec. Director <br /> Ms. Katie McGinnity, Rec. Supervisor <br /> Ms. Vanessa Van Alstine, Cable TV <br />Producer <br /> <br />Ray made a motion to approve the minutes from the July meeting. Darling <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed 7 – 0. <br /> <br /> Chair Miller reported the Commission held a workshop, before the <br />meeting, to discuss the Project Prioritization List for the 2017 Budget. The <br />list of projects are as follows. Chair Miller explained the priorities are <br />subject to change and the costs are rough estimates to help start the budget <br />process. <br /> <br />1. Gervais Mill Park Garden – redo garden and add sidewalk, drinking <br />fountain and observation deck - $100,000 <br />2. Pioneer Park – planting new trees by pond - $5,000 <br />3. Spooner Park play area improvements $75,000-$150,000 <br />4. Pioneer Park play area improvements $75,000-$150,000 <br />5. Powerline Centerville/County Road D trail segment <br />Phase 1-Payne to Edgerton <br />6. Powerline Centerville/County Road D trail segment <br />Phase 2 – Trail connection from Edgerton to Pioneer Park with a <br />safe crossing on Edgerton <br />MINUTES <br />2017 CAPITAL <br />BUDGET <br />PLANNING
