MINUTES <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />October 5, 2016 <br />The Recreation Supervisor reported there are two volleyball teams this <br />fall, a fourth and fifth grade team and a sixth and seventh grade team. She <br />explained the Little Canada Recreation Association is sponsoring a trip to <br />take all of the volleyball players to the Gophers Game next week. <br /> <br />The Recreation Supervisor reported the City has a Soccer Clinic this fall <br />with 10 participants and a gymnastics class with 13 participants. <br /> <br />The Recreation Supervisor reported the Little Canada Recreation <br />Association is holding their annual Halloween Party on October 22nd at <br />the Old Fire Hall. <br /> <br />Chair Miller asked how long the Farmers Market would continue. The <br />Recreation Supervisor stated there was one more week and it had been <br />very successful this year. <br /> <br />Chair Miller reported the Goals and Mission Statement for the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission had been in the Le Petit. Chair Miller asked the <br />Director if any member’s terms were up at the end of the year. The <br />Director stated he would have that for the next meeting. Chair Miller <br />asked when the next meeting would be since November’s meeting fell <br />near election week. The Director stated the meeting would stay on <br />Thursday, November 3rd. Horwath stated he would not be in attendance as <br />he has class that night. Chu asked The Director about printing the meeting <br />packet each month. The Director thought it may be necessary to have <br />agenda packets printed each month instead of asking members to print the <br />packets themselves. The Commission agreed. Chair Miller asked the <br />Director if he could send the packets electronically each month and have <br />copies of the packets on hand at each meeting.
