- 5 -
material and paving will occur in such a manner to ensure the proper crown of
the roadbed is restored and any utility trench settlement will be corrected.
Damaged or very poorly draining curb will be removed and replaced.

In addition to the pavement rehabilitation we are proposing to complete casting
and ring replacement work on the manholes and storm structures. With
bituminous surface impacted we are proposing to excavate and inspect the
watermain fittings, valves, and hydrant tees in various locations along the project
length and complete any necessary repairs. No sanitary sewer or storm sewer
work is anticipated.

B. ROSE PLACE AND LAKESHORE

Rose Place and Lakeshore are proposed to be reconstructed as a 28-foot wide
urban section with concrete curb and gutter. The extension of storm sewer from
the system on Lake Street will be reviewed further during design.

As in previous years the Watershed’s current enacted stormwater treatment
regulations require infiltration of the first 1.1 inches of storm water runoff from the
new impervious surfaces. For previous street projects the City utilized rainwater
gardens to achieve this infiltration standard therefore, in a continued effort to
effectively treat storm water rainwater gardens will once again be considered for
treatment of storm water runoff along this roadway. We are proposing to
excavate and inspect the watermain fittings, valves, and hydrant tees in various
locations along the project length and complete any necessary repairs. No major
sanitary sewer work is anticipated as part of the project.

C. LABORE AVENUE

Labore Avenue is proposed to be reconstructed as a 28-foot wide urban section
with concrete curb and gutter. The storm sewer system would be extended from
Jackson Street and additional inlets added to improve the drainage along this
street.

As with the improvements on Rose Place and Lakeshore, the proposed method
of improvement will require meeting the Watershed’s current stormwater
treatment regulations. Rain water gardens are proposed for this street to meet
the requirement to infiltrate the first inch of storm water runoff. We are proposing
to excavate and inspect the watermain fittings, valves, and hydrant tees in
various locations along the project length and complete any necessary repairs.
No major sanitary sewer work is anticipated as part of the project.

VIII. RIGHT-OF-WAY & EASEMENTS

It is anticipated that all work can be completed within the existing City rights-of-way and
easement areas. If minor work becomes necessary outside of these areas the City
could use a waiver of trespass. A waiver of trespass allows entry by City personnel and
its agents, the Contractor, and subcontractors onto private property for the purpose of
inspection and other construction related work only during the duration of the project.
