In addition to said severance pay, Hanson shall be paid for any unused vacation. <br />Hanson shall be compensated for unused sick leave pursuant to the City’s Personnel Policy, <br />Section 18 - Severance Pay. However, in the event Hanson is terminated because of his <br />conviction for any illegal act involving personal gain to himself, then the City shall have no <br />obligation to pay the severance pay, accrued and unused vacation or sick leave provided in <br />this paragraph. <br />B. If the City at any time during the employment term reduces the salary or other <br />financial benefits to Hanson in a greater percentage than across-the-board reduction for all <br />City employees, or if the City refuses, following written notice, to comply with any other <br />provisions of this Agreement benefiting Hanson, then Hanson may, at his option, be deemed <br />to be “terminated” on the date of such reduction or refusal to comply with the provisions of <br />this Agreement. In this event, Hanson shall be entitled to severance pay in accordance with <br />this Agreement. <br />C. If Hanson voluntarily resigns his position with the City, Hanson agrees to give the <br />City 45 days advance notice. If Hanson voluntarily resigns his position with the City, there <br />shall be no severance pay due to Hanson. In this event, Hanson will be paid for any unused <br />vacation pay and sick leave at the same rate allowed other employees with similar longevity. <br />11. GENERAL EXPENSES. The City recognizes that certain expenses of a non-personal and <br />job affiliated nature will be incurred by Hanson. The City agrees to reimburse or to pay said <br />expenses, subject to prior Council approval. <br />12. HOURS OF WORK. It is understood that the position of City Administrator requires <br />attendance at evening meetings and occasionally at weekend meetings. It is understood by <br />Hanson that additional compensation and compensatory time shall not be allowed with <br />reference to any such additional expenditures of time. It is further understood that Hanson
