<br />motor oils, and paint in liquid form. <br /> <br />2. Major appliances, except as provided for in Bulky Item Pickup. <br /> <br />3. Tree limbs, brush and such other items, except as provided for in Yard Waste. <br /> <br />4. Animal waste and solid waste materials resulting from industrial, commercial, and <br />agricultural operations, and from community activities. <br /> <br />5. Earthen fill, boulders, rock, and other materials normally handled in construction <br />operations, solids or dissolved materials in domestic sewage or other significant <br />pollutants in waste resources, such as silt, dissolved or suspended solids in industrial <br />waste water effluent, dissolved materials in irrigation return flows; or other common <br />water pollutants. <br /> <br />6. Electronics containing cathode ray tubes (CRT’s). <br /> <br />c. Containers. All occupants of residential dwelling units in the City shall be required by <br />ordinance to keep garbage and refuse in an approved container(s) of approximately 30, 60, or <br />90 gallons. Exempted are senior residents who qualify for the low volume bag rate. <br />They may use stickered 30-gallon trash bags. <br /> <br />d. Location. Residential dwelling units shall have, as required by the City ordinance, their <br />container located at the boulevard adjoining the curb on or before 7:00 a.m. on the <br />designated day of collection. <br /> <br />e. Frequency. Each residential dwelling unit shall have its refuse collected a minimum of once <br />per week. <br /> <br />f. Additional Collection Service. Refuse in excess of the designated volume-base per dwelling <br />unit or residential dwelling units desiring collection of items from a location other than the <br />boulevard adjoining the curb will be subject to additional collection service charges as set <br />forth in Attachment “B.” Collection service for white goods and bulky items must have <br />prior arrangements with the City for collection and shall also be billed in accordance with <br />Attachment “B”; except as provided for in Bulky Item Pickup. <br /> <br />g. Reporting. Tonnages of refuse or garbage collected shall be reported to the City on an <br />annual basis with said reports to be submitted by January 22nd of the following year. <br /> <br />h. Free Pick-Up at City-Owned Properties. Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc. and <br />Republic Republic Services, Inc. shall provide service as necessary for the collection and <br />disposal of refuse, recyclables and yard waste from all City-owned properties, including <br />parks and the City’s Canadian Days Celebration, at no cost to the City during the term of <br />this Contract. This provision applies to the typical generation of waste and does not <br />include extraordinary clean-outs. <br /> <br />i. Disposal. The Contractor shall be responsible for the safe, legal, and environmentally <br />sound disposal of all refuse, white goods, and any other items and materialsWaste Materials <br />collected under this Contract.
