Suggested 2015 Minnesota State Fire Code Appendices for Adoption <br /> <br /> <br />Appendix C <br /> <br />Fire Hydrant Location and Distribution <br />This appendix to the 2015 Minnesota State Fire Code will give a standard for all new <br />construction for the placement of fire hydrants and the water distribution based on the required <br />fire-flow rate for fire protection of buildings or portions of building constructed hereafter. <br /> <br /> <br />Appendix D <br /> <br />FIRE APPARATUS ACCESS ROADS <br />This appendix is for new construction for the fire department access roads and turn arounds for <br />fire trucks and the ability fire department to have proper coverage for firefighting activities. <br />Facilities, buildings or portions of buildings hereafter constructed shall be accessible to fire <br />department apparatus by way of an approved fire apparatus access road with an asphalt, concrete <br />or other approved driving surface capable of supporting the imposed load of fire apparatus <br />weighing at least 75,000 pounds (34 050 kg). <br /> <br />At this time there may be areas in Little Canada that do not comply with this section however in <br />the future there will be a standard for compliance. <br /> <br /> <br />Appendix E <br /> <br />HAZARD CATEGORIES <br />Adopting this appendix is in compliance with nationally recognized standards for hazard <br />categories. <br /> <br />REFERENCED STANDARDS <br />CGA P-20— Standard for Classification (2003) of Toxic Mixtures CGA P-23— Standard for <br />Categorizing (2003) Gas Mixtures Containing Flammable and Nonflammable Components <br />ICC IFC-12 International Fire Code <br /> <br /> <br />Appendix F <br /> <br />HAZARD RANKING <br />Adopting this appendix is in compliance with nationally recognized standards <br />REFERENCED STANDARDS <br />ICC IFC—12 International Fire Code <br />NFPA 704—12 Identification of the Hazards of Materials for Emergency Response <br /> <br />
