Ordinance 810 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />2001.060. ESTABLISHMENT OF LIMITS OF DISTRICTS IN WHICH STORAGE OF <br />EXPLOSIVES AND BLASTING AGENTS IS TO BE PROHIBITED. The limits referred to in <br />Chapter 3304 56 of the Minnesota State Fire Code and Minnesota State Statute 299F.72- <br />299F.831, in which storage of explosive and blasting agents is prohibited, are hereby established <br />as follows: No storage of explosives of blasting agents shall be permitted within the corporate <br />limits of the City. <br /> <br />2001.070. ESTABLISHMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLE ROUTES FOR VEHICLES <br />TRANSPORTING EXPLOSIVES AND BLASTING AGENTS. The routes referred to in <br />Chapter 3304 56 of the Minnesota State Fire Code and Minnesota State Statute 299F.72- <br />299F.831 for vehicles transporting explosives and blasting agents are hereby established as <br />follows: Little Canada Road, both East and West, and Edgerton Street, both North and South. No <br />other streets or roads in the City shall qualify for carrying such materials. <br /> <br />2001.080. ESTABLISHMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLE ROUTES FOR VEHICLES <br />TRANSPORTING HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS OR OTHER DANGEROUS MATERIALS. <br />The routes for vehicles transporting hazardous chemicals or other dangerous materials are hereby <br />established as follows: Little Canada Road, both East and West, and Edgerton Street, both North <br />and South. No other streets or roads in the City shall qualify for carrying such materials. <br /> <br />2001.090. APPEALS. Whenever the Chief shall disapprove an application or refuse to <br />grant a permit applied for, or when it is claimed that the provisions of the Code do not apply or <br />that the true intent and meaning of the Code have been misconstrued or wrongly interpreted, the <br />applicant may appeal from the decision of the Chief to the City Council within thirty (30) days <br />from the date of the decision appealed. Written Order Appeals: Any person aggrieved by a <br />written order pursuant to section 108.1 of the state fire code may, within fifteen (15) days after <br />service of said notice, appeal therefrom to the board of appeals by filing a written notice of <br />appeal with the city administrator. The appeal shall be heard at such time as may be established <br />by the board. The city council of the City of Little Canada shall serve as and constitute the board <br />of appeals. The board may, upon the hearing, affirm in whole or in part or deny the existence of <br />a violation. Pending decision of the board of appeals, the order of the code official shall be <br />stayed unless there is an immediate fire hazard to life or property. <br /> <br />2001.100. NEW MATERIALS, PROCESSES OR OCCUPANCIES WHICH MAY <br />REQUIRE PERMITS. The Chief, the City Administrator and the Building Official shall act as a <br />committee to determine and specify, after giving affected persons an opportunity to be heard, any <br />new materials, processes or occupancies, which shall require permits, in addition to those now <br />enumerated in the Code. The Chief shall post such list in a conspicuous place in his office, and <br />distribute copies thereof to interested persons. <br />
