Ordinance 810 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />2001.020. ENFORCEMENT. <br /> <br />(A) The Chief of the Fire Department serving the City, or his representative <br />authorized by him, including the Little Canada Fire Marshal, shall be authorized to enforce the <br />provisions of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />(B) The Chief of the Fire Department may detail such members of the Fire <br />Department as inspectors as shall from time to time become necessary. The Chief of the Fire <br />Department may recommend the employment of technical inspectors, who, when such <br />authorization is made, shall be selected through an examination to determine their fitness for the <br />position. The examination shall be open to members and non-members of the Fire Department <br />and appointments made after examination shall be for an indefinite term with removal only for <br />cause. <br /> <br />2001.030. DEFINITIONS. <br /> <br />(A) Wherever the word "jurisdiction" is used in the Minnesota State Fire Code, it shall <br />be held to mean the City of Little Canada. <br /> <br />(B) Wherever the term "corporation counsel" is used in the Minnesota State Fire <br />Code, it shall be held to mean the attorney for the City of Little Canada. <br /> <br />2001.040. ESTABLISHMENT OF LIMITS OF DISTRICTS IN WHICH STORAGE OF <br />FLAMMABLE OR COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS IN OUTSIDE ABOVE-GROUND TANKS IS <br />TO BE PROHIBITED. <br /> <br />(A) The limits referred to in Chapters 22, 27, and 34 5706 of the Minnesota State Fire <br />Code in which storage of flammable or combustible liquids in outside above-ground tanks is <br />prohibited, are hereby established as follows: There shall be no storage of such flammable <br />liquids within fifty (50) feet of any building or structure. Exception: Occupancy classification R3 <br />(residential) home heating fuel oil tanks of 300 gallons or less. <br /> <br />(B) The limits referred to in Section 3406.4 5706 of the Minnesota State Fire Code in <br />which new bulk plants for flammable or combustible liquids are prohibited, are hereby <br />established as follows: No bulk plants shall be permitted within the corporate limits of the City. <br /> <br />2001.050. ESTABLISHMENT OF LIMITS IN WHICH BULK STORAGE OF <br />LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GASES IS TO BE RESTRICTED. The limits referred to in Chapter <br />38 61 of the Minnesota State Fire Code and Chapter 58 of the National Fire Protection <br />Association standards, in which bulk storage of liquefied petroleum gas is restricted, are hereby <br />established as follows: No bulk storage of such gases shall be permitted within the corporate <br />limits of the City.
