MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 12, 2017 <br />approval of the $80 increase in the benefit level as requested by the Little <br />Canada Fire Department. McGraw stated that this agreement is working <br />very well and he would like to see it continue in the fitture. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2017-4-54 — APPROVING AN $80 PER YEAR OF <br />SERVICE BENEFIT INCREASE FOR THE LITTLE CANADA FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT'S RELIEF ASSO CIA TION AS PRESENTED BY <br />THE CITYADMINISTRA TOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />APPROVAL OF The City Administrator reported that at the last Parks & Recreation <br />RFP FOR PARKS Commission meeting, the Commission reviewed the draft of a request for <br />MASTER PLAN proposal for an updated Parks Master Plan along with on-going consulting <br />AND ON-GOING as needed. He noted that they had suggested some changes, which are <br />CONSULTING incorporated into this draft, and recommended proceeding with the RFP <br />SERVICES process. He stated the goal was to have a consultant chosen by the end of <br />May and an updated Parks Master Plan completed in early 2018. He noted <br />that the master plan was not a budgeted item so it will have to come out of <br />the General Capital Improvement Fund. The Council agreed that updating <br />the Parks Master Plan was important to do. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2017-4-55 —APPROVING THE REQUEST FOR <br />PROPOSAL DRAFT TO UPDATE THE CITY PARKS MASTER <br />PLANAND ON-GOING CONSULTING SERVICES AS PRESENTED <br />BY THE CITY ADMINIS TRA TOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PAYMENT The City Administrator explained that All Metro Excavating was awarded <br />REQUEST FOR the bid for the demolition of four city -owned houses at a cost of $60,500. <br />ALL METRO He reported that All Metro has almost completed the work and requested <br />EXCAVATING payment of the final amount due. He stated that Staff recommends <br />authorizing the final payment amount of $8,828.00 upon full completion <br />of the specified work with verification by the City Engineer. <br />
