MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 26, 2017 <br />Torkelson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2017-4-60 —APPROVING THE ARBOR DAY <br />PROCLAMA TIONDESIGNA TING FRIDAY, APRIL 28, 2017 AS <br />ARBOR DAY, AND THE MONTH OF MAY 2017 AS ARBOR <br />MONTH IN THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONTINUED <br />Keis stated that the applicant, Cash for Houses, LLC, has requested the <br />PUBLIC <br />public hearing for their townhome development be postponed again. Keis <br />HEARING <br />stated the public hearing will be re -opened and continued to the May 24, <br />PRELIMINARY <br />2017 City Council meeting. <br />& FINAL PLAT <br />lots. Resolution declared adopted. <br />PUBLIC <br />The Associate Planner reported that Richard Demont, property owner of <br />HEARING- <br />177 Demont Avenue East, has requested a simple subdivision for a lot <br />SUBDIVISION <br />split of his property. She explained that the property is currently 1.56 <br />OF 177 DEMONT <br />acres, and the proposed lot split would create two single family residential <br />AVENUE EAST; <br />lots. She stated that the current home would remain and there would be a <br />APPLICANT: <br />new vacant parcel created that the applicant has indicated that he will be <br />RICHARD <br />selling, and a new home will be built. The Associate Planner indicated <br />DEMONT <br />that the Public Works Director reported that there are currently two water <br />and sewer connections to the property. She noted that the current house <br />and detached garage comply with setback requirements for R-1, Single <br />Family Residential, but there is a shed that does not comply with the 3 <br />foot setback requirement. She explained that the shed is allowed to <br />remain as a non -conforming structure, but if it is replaced in the future, it <br />will need to comply with setback requirements. <br />2 <br />
