Transit: <br />• Plan must relate to Metropolitan Council Transit Market Area designations for Little <br />Canada Market Area III. This will likely retain the status quo bus lines and identify the <br />following: <br />o Existing transit routes and dial-a-ride service. <br />o Park and ride facilities. <br /> <br />Bicycling/Walking: <br />• Describe and map all sidewalk and bicycle facilities within the City. <br />• Describe and map all regional bicycle corridors through the City. (This is limited to two <br />regional trail corridors.) <br />• Identify destination areas, employment centers, parks, and activity centers. <br />• Identify needed trail connections and future improvements. <br /> <br />Aviation: <br />• Identify regional airports. (Little Canada is located outside any regional airport influence <br />areas.) <br />• Identify local regulations to protect regional air space. <br /> <br />Utility Plan. The 2040 Comprehensive Plan must address municipal utilities. In this regard, the <br />following information will be required for the utility chapter: <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer (With the City Engineer): <br />• Implement of 2040 population, household, and employment forecasts broken down by <br />service areas of the Metropolitan Disposal System. <br />• Electronic mapping of: <br />o Existing sanitary sewer, lift station, and connection points to the Metropolitan <br />Disposal System. <br />o Intercommunity connections. <br />• Capacity and flow design of existing trunk and lift stations. <br />• Assignment of 2040 projected growth to the sewer system. <br />• Infiltration/inflow program description including the disconnection of sump pumps found <br />in drains and roof leaders from the sanitary sewer. Recommended amenities and <br />improvements to reduce I/I issues. <br /> <br />Water System (With the City Engineer): <br />• Water supply. <br />• Water system. <br />• Intercommunity connections. <br />• Water conservation efforts. <br /> <br />Stormwater Management (with the City Engineer): <br />• Summary of local water management plans. <br />• Joint powers agreements with watershed districts. <br />• Process for plan review.
