<br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />RAMSEY COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 812 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING CHAPTER 825 OF THE LITTLE CANADA <br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADD A LICENSE FOR HANDICAP ACCESSIBLITY & <br />MOBILITY VEHICLE SALES OR REPAIR WITH ACCESSORY OUTDOOR <br />STORAGE. <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Little Canada hereby creates Section 825 of the <br />Little Canada Municipal Code as follows: <br /> <br />825. HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY & MOBILITY VEHICLE SALES OR REPAIR WITH <br />ACCESSORY OUTDOOR STORAGE <br /> <br />825.010. LICENSE. No person shall engage in the business of selling, buying, trading or <br />dealing in new or used motor vehicles sales equipped with handicapped accessibility features or <br />repair of the handicapped accessibility mobility component within the City without first procuring a <br />license to engage in such business as hereinafter provided. This license requirement shall apply from <br />and after the date of the passage of this Ordinance and every person engaged in such business at this <br />time must obtain a license hereunder in order to continue the operation of such business. <br /> <br />825.020. APPLICATION, FEE AND LICENSE PERIOD. Application for Handicap <br />Accessibility and Mobility Vehicle Sales or Repair with Accessory Outdoor Storage shall be made to <br />the City on a form to be furnished by the City. The fee for such license shall be determined by City <br />Council ordinance with the license period commencing July 1 of each year. The license shall be for <br />a term of one year, except that the City Council shall have the authority to issue a license for a period <br />shorter than one year to guarantee compliance with all conditions of the license and with all <br />conditions of the zoning regulations. The license fee for any part of a year shall be the same as for a <br />full year. All applications to engage in emergency vehicle sales/storage business must be submitted <br />by the Administrator to the City Council at its next regular meeting before such license may be <br />issued. <br /> <br />This Section shall not apply to any type of work performed on a motor vehicle or motor <br />vehicle sales. Categories of motor vehicle repair or motor vehicles sales licenses include <br />Automobile Repair – Major, Automobile Repair – Minor, Automobile Repair – Salvage, Outdoor <br />Retail Sales, Indoor Retail Sales, Salvage Motor Vehicle Sales or Wholesale Dealer as defined in the <br />Zoning Code. <br /> <br />
