TO: Mayor Keis & Members of the City Council

FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
Bryce Shearen, Parks & Recreation/Community Services Manager

DATE: May 10, 2017

RE: Savage Lake Survey Results – Update

At last night’s Parks & Recreation Commission meeting, the results of the Savage Lake survey
were reviewed. Based on the survey results, Savage Lake resident comments made at the last
P & R Commission meeting regarding weed and lily pad growth, and other factors noted in the
earlier memo on this topic; the Commission voted to recommend to the Council that no further
action be taken regarding the creation of a public access to West Savage Lake. They also
asked that we put this information in our next newsletter so the public knows where this issue
stands.

If the Council agrees, a motion to that effect is needed.
28
