<br /> <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Mayor Keis and Members of City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Heidi Heller, City Clerk <br /> <br />DATE: May 19, 2017 <br /> <br />RE: New Liquor License for El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant <br /> License Period July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The current owner of El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant, Viviana Leon, is in the process of selling <br />the business to the current restaurant manager, Ulises Ramirez. All of the business information <br />will remain the same, but since there will be a new officer/owner, the State requires that a new <br />liquor license be issued. The sale is scheduled to be completed by July 1, 2017. Mr. Ramirez has <br />submitted the required application and fee, and has received a satisfactory Sheriff’s Department <br />background check. <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of new On-Sale and On-Sale Sunday Liquor licenses to El Sombrero <br />Mexican Restaurant, LLC subject to receiving the required insurance materials, for the license <br />period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018.
