MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP
APRIL 26, 2017

3
stated that his perspective on voting for this topic during the goal setting session
was to make things better in the City.

One other action plan the Council should consider is how they want to proceed
with the chicken discussion since the group who is spearheading this issue is
now waiting for the City to make a decision. Fischer stated that he has wavered
back and forth, and his decision right now is a no. Keis stated that his feeling is
that there is an ordinance in place and the City should stick with it. Montour
stated that if the group has new information, he would be ok with listening to
them present again. He is open to having the group back for one more chance to
speak at a Council meeting. Torkelson reported that the online survey generated
less than 30 responses after canvassing almost the entire City, but the whole
process has also not generated many negative responses. There was Council
consensus to invite the organizing group to attend a City Council meeting one
more time if they have any new or additional information to share.

There being no further business, the workshop was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.

__________________________________
John T.
