3 CITY OF LITTLE CANADA | PARKS MASTER PLAN <br />TASK 1 – EXISTING CONDITION INVENTORY AND <br />ANALYSIS <br />1.1 – Base Mapping <br />Using a combination of existing data provided by the City an overall City-wide <br />project base map will be prepared. <br />1.2 –Field Reconnaissance and Assessment <br />Through a series of site visits we will update Little Canada’s park inventory <br />and also develop a brief assessment of the conditions and character of each <br />of the City’s parks as well as Firefighters Historical Trail. Information will be <br />collected on a set of park inventory data sheets and will include such things <br />as: <br /> X Park name, type/classification and purpose or focus <br /> X Park location (address) and area map <br /> X Acreage <br /> X Facilities and amenities (including utilization data if available) <br /> X Significant natural features <br /> X Assessment of physical conditions and functionality <br />In addition, each park will be mapped in schematic format for use in analyses <br />and illustration of future enhancements and/or expansions. <br />1.3 – Trails and Walkways <br />The City’s existing trail and sidewalk system will also be examined for gaps, <br />physical conditions and high level ADA assessment. <br />1.4 – Park and Recreation Programs <br />Review current park and recreation programs and available park use data as <br />provided by the City. <br />TASK 1 DELIVERABLES <br />• A Park and Trail Assessment Memo <br />summarizing and documenting existing <br />conditions findings and identifying current <br />issues and opportunities. At the conclusion of <br />this information gathering process, SEH will <br />prepare an initial report that identifies and <br />summarizes issues and opportunities. <br />• PowerPoint for presenting assessment memo <br />to the City Council, Parks and Recreation <br />Commission and the Little Canada Recreation <br />Association at a joint meeting.
