4SHORT ELLIOTT HENDRICKSON INC. <br />1.5 – Review of Pertinent Plans and Studies <br />Existing documents, plans and reports will be reviewed and summarized for <br />use by the team during the planning process including: <br /> X Parks and Recreation Vision Statement <br /> X 2008 Parks Master Plan <br /> X Trail/Sidewalk Plan <br /> X Parks Connectivity <br /> X Community Redevelopment Area Master Plan <br /> X Pioneer Park Design <br /> X Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Master Plan <br /> X Metropolitan Council Parks and Trails Plans <br /> X Trout Brook Regional Trail Information as Prepared by Ramsey County <br /> X City of Little Canada Budget relating to Parks and Recreation <br />TASK 2 – PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT <br />Community engagement efforts will build upon the current outreach <br />generated by the City through its Comprehensive Planning process as <br />well as other on-going recreational adult and youth recreational programs. <br />This will include working with the Parks and Recreation Commission, <br />the Little Canada Recreation Association and City staff representing <br />relevant departments, as well as efforts to reach out to users typically <br />underrepresented (youth, cultural groups, seniors, etc.). <br />Our approach includes meeting people where they are, such as at the parks <br />or at a senior’s housing development along with online opportunities where <br />residents can provide input and stay informed from the comfort of their <br />own home computer or while using a nearby branch of the Ramsey County <br />Library. <br />The master Plan will provide recommendations for <br />improving the sustainability of maintenance and <br />operations practices. <br />TASK 2 DELIVERABLES <br />• Summaries of public outreach and engagement <br />activities <br />• Project web page <br />• Interim displays and/or hand-outs for pop up <br />sessions <br />• Online survey questionnaire, draft and final <br />posting <br />• Graphic announcement for announcing public <br />meetings
