MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 12, 2017 <br />PRESENTATION <br />Rita Mills, Roseville Area League of Women Voters, gave background <br />— ROSEVILLE <br />information about the League, and stated that they do not support any <br />AREA LEAGUE <br />candidates or parties, but do advocate and do studies. She explained that <br />OF WOMEN <br />the League did an affordable housing study for the five cities in their area; <br />VOTERS <br />Little Canada, Roseville, Maplewood, Falcon Heights and Lauderdale. <br />AFFORDABLE <br />HOUSING STUDY She reviewed the various parties who participated in their affordable <br />housing study, and noted that the recommendations specifically for Little <br />Canada were included in the information packet the Council received. She <br />read the recommendations for the City to include in the Comprehensive <br />Plan Update; increase residential densities, site identification of possible <br />affordable housing locations, reduced points of approval, support <br />manufactured housing and modify the Crime Free Housing Ordinance. <br />The Mayor thanked them for the presentation and indicated their <br />recommendations would be considered. <br />CONSENT Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />AGENDA <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2017-7-114 —APPROVING THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: <br />*APPROVAL OF THE VOUCHERS, <br />*APPROVE FUNDS TRANSFER & 2017 BUDGET AMENDMENTS <br />*APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF GIVEAWAYITEMS FOR <br />COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES <br />*APPROVE PARTIAL PAYMENT #11 TO HARDRIVES, INC. FOR <br />2015 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS <br />*APPROVE PARTIAL PAYMENT # 2 TO T.A. SCHIFSKY & SONS <br />FOR 2017 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS <br />*APPROVE DOG PARK HOLD HARMLESS CLAUSE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />HOGGSBREATH The City Administrator stated the City has had several discussions with <br />UPDATE the City Attorney and Ramsey County Sheriff's Department about calls <br />for service at the Hoggsbreath. He reported that the City Attorney is also <br />reviewing the liquor license code. He stated that the Council could be <br />involved in a committee that would meet with the Hoggsbreath owner, <br />Tom Duray. McGraw stated that he would like the Council to discuss the <br />issue at a Workshop prior to a committee meeting with Mr. Duray, and he <br />2 <br />
