MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 12, 2017 <br />LITTLE Montour asked how the Farmer's Market was on Monday since it started <br />CANADA this week. The Parks & Rec/Community Services Manager stated that it <br />FARMER'S went well and had a good number of vendors to start the season with. He <br />MARKET noted that this year the start date was postponed rather than having to <br />move locations in the middle of the summer due to the flower mart being <br />in the mall parking lot in the early summer. <br />CLOSED <br />The City Administrator stated that the Council is calling for a closed <br />SESSION- <br />session at 8:54 p.m. as authorized under State Statute 13D.05 Subd. 3, to <br />CONSIDER <br />discuss an offer relative to the City's sale of the Verizon cell tower at 167 <br />OFFER TO <br />South Owasso Boulevard. He noted that he has not received any new <br />PURCHASE 53 & <br />information regarding the Letter of Intent for the purchase of the <br />167 SOUTH <br />properties at 53 and 167 South Owasso Boulevard so there is no need to <br />OWASSO <br />discuss that during the closed session. <br />BOULEVARD AND <br />CONSIDER <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />OFFER TO <br />PURCHASE <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2017-7-120 — TEMPORARILYADJOURNING <br />VERIZON CELL <br />THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AND CONVENING INTO <br />TOWER AT 167 <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />SOUTH OWASSO <br />BOULEVARD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Council convened into closed session at 8:54 p.m. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2017-7-121—ADJOURNING THE CLOSED <br />SESSION AND RECONVENING THE REGULAR COUNCIL <br />MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The regular Council meeting was reconvened at 9:12 p.m. <br />Keis reported that the Council discussed a purchase agreement for the <br />potential sale of the Verizon cell tower at 167 South Owasso Boulevard <br />and gave the City Administrator authority to finalize the purchase <br />agreement with the City Attorney with the terms discussed. <br />VA <br />
