MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JULY 26, 2017 PLANNING The City Clerk explained that Staff has been informed that there will be COMMISSION another resignation from the Planning Commission in October. She stated VACANCY & there are two applicants who were recently interviewed for the last INTERVIEW vacancy but not chosen. She stated that the Council could choose one of PROCESS those applicants, or Staff could advertise for the opening. There was Council consensus to choose one of the existing applicants, and the interview committee would decide which one to appoint. The City Clerk reported that there has been no fon-nal process for which Council members participated in the interviews for Commissioners. She asked if the Council wants to have a policy for determining who participates. McGraw stated that he feels the Council members should simply rotate since it is a good process for everyone to participate in. There was Council consensus for staff to make an interview committee rotation schedule for the Council members. CLOSED The City Administrator stated that the Council is calling for a closed SESSION- session at 8:00 p.m. as authorized under State Statute 13D.05 Subd. 3, to CONSIDER discuss an offer relative to the sale of the properties at 53 and 167 South OFFER TO Owasso Boulevard. PURCHASE 53 & 1.67 SOUTH Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: OWASSO BOULEVARD RESOL UTION NO. 2017-7-126 — TEMPORARIL Y ADJO URNING THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AND CONVENING INTO CLOSED SESSION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. The Council convened into closed session at 8:00 p.m. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTIONNO. 2017-7-127—ADJOURNING THE CLOSED SESSIONAND RECONVENING THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. M
