MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 9, 2017 <br />ENTERTAINMENT The City Attorney explained that he presented an entertainment license to <br />LICENSE the Council at the last Workshop for consideration. He noted that this <br />DISCUSSION would not be associated with a liquor license, but for entertainment in <br />general. The City Administrator stated that this may not be needed due to <br />the restrictions that were adopted tonight for the liquor license. Fischer <br />stated that he understands where it could be needed, but does not know <br />who would need one and when. Keis stated he would like more time to <br />consider if it is really needed. McGraw stated that he wants the Council to <br />take a hard look to see if it is needed since times are changing. There was <br />Council consensus to discuss this at a workshop. <br />LITTLE CANADA <br />The City Clerk explained that the Little Canada Recreation Association <br />RECREATION <br />has applied for a temporary liquor license for their annual kickball <br />ASSOCIATION <br />tournament on Saturday, September 16, 2017 and an off-site gambling <br />TEMPORARY <br />application to sell pull tabs and raffle tickets at their golf tournament on <br />LIQUOR LICENSE <br />Saturday, September 23, 2017. She noted that Staff recommends the <br />FOR SEPTEMBER <br />Council approve the liquor license subject to receiving the certificate of <br />16, 2017 AND AN <br />insurance, and the gambling license is complete. <br />OFF-SITE <br />GAMBLING <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />LICENSE FOR <br />SEPTEMBER 23, <br />RESOLUTION 2017-8-135—APPROVINGATEMPORARYLIQUOR <br />2017 <br />LICENSE FOR THE LITTLE CANADA RECREATION <br />ASSOCIATION KICKBALL TOURNAMENT ON SEPTEMBER 16, <br />2017, SUBJECT TO RECEIVING THE INSURANCE CERTIFICATE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Aye (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION 2017-8-136 — APPROVING AN OFF-SITE <br />GAMBLING LICENSE FOR THE LITTLE CANADA RECREATION <br />ASSOCL4 TION GOLF TO URNAMENT ON SEPTEMBER 23, 2 017 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Aye (5). <br />Nays (0).
