MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />AUGUST 10, 2017 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 10th day of <br />August, 2017 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair Bill Buesing called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mr. Bill Buesing <br />Mr. Nick Schwalbach <br />Mr. Chris Kwapick <br />Mr. Nick Sandell <br />Ms. Taelor Johnson <br />Mr. Al Davison <br />Ms. Jennifer Schletty-Flores <br />Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Ms. Jessica Jagoe, Associate Planner <br />Ms. Heidi Heller, City Clerk <br />Mr. Kevin Helander, Cable TV <br />MINUTES The July 13, 2017 Planning Commission meeting minutes were approved <br />with the vote count corrections as recommended. <br />PUD The Associate Planner reported that Nathan Badger is the owner of TNT <br />AMENDMENT TO Billiard Products and Pool Hall at 80 Little Canada Road East, and has <br />ALLOW A <br />requested to sell alcohol at the pool hall. She explained that a pool hall is <br />CONDITIONAL <br />allowed in this Planned Unit Development (PUD) district, but the alcohol <br />USE PERMIT FOR <br />sales are only allowed with a conditional use permit. She stated that this <br />COMMERCIAL <br />business has only been open for a couple of months, and they also have a <br />RECREATIONAL <br />retail area and repair shop within their suite. She reported that they have <br />POOL HALL USE <br />complied with all building and fire code requirements, and with the Zoning <br />WITH ALCOHOL <br />Code requirements for commercial recreation uses. She noted that TNT <br />SALES <br />Billiards is expanding in September and will then have 12 pool tables. The <br />Associate Planner stated that the property is zoned Planned Unit <br />Development, along with most of the surrounding properties, although <br />some are legal non -conforming single-family residential uses. <br />
