MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 10, 2002 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montow~. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Montour, Anderson, Fahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CUP FOR The City Administrator reported that Mr. Stafl<i has asked about <br />OUTD0012 continuing his Conditional Use Permit for the sale of vegetables and <br />SALES - other produce on the former Venetiau property for the year 2002. The <br />'THE VENETIAN Administrator recommended allowing Mr. Stafl<i's outdoor sales to <br />PROPERTY continue during 2002 provided that the sales do not conflict with the City's <br />redevelopment efforts for this property. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption <br />RESO/.UT/ON NO 2002-4-Si-A1./.OW/NGTIIE.STiJFKI <br />CONDITIONAL. Resolution declared adopted. <br />'T'he City AdminisUator reported that the City has received a request from Joe <br />Saad to sell onions on the former Venetian property as a fundraiser for the <br />Shriner's Children's I-tospital. He noted that the City's code only allows such <br />sales by Conditional Use Permit or for products sold on the property by the <br />owner, and there is no provision in the ordinance to vary from that procedure. <br />It was the consensus of the Council to not vary from the ordinance requirement <br />that limits outdoor sales to occur only under a Conditional Use Permit. <br />RUT%ICI< The City Administrator reported that he has o('ered Mr. Rutzick the appraised <br />['ROPER"Tl' value for his property. Mr. Rutzick has indicated that the offer is dramatically <br />understated. The Administrator noted that the City will be proceeding to <br />acquire the property through eminent domain. <br />I)AN CARON Mayor Fahey acknowledged Dan Caron's presence at tonight's Council <br />meeting.
