MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />August 2nd, 2017 <br /> <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & <br />Recreation Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held on <br />the 2nd of August in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road East in said city. <br /> <br /> Chair Dave Miller called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the following <br />members of the commission were present: <br /> <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Sharen Darling <br /> Mr. Ron Horwath <br /> Mr. Dave Miller <br /> Mr. Peter Schletty <br /> <br />ABSENT: Ms. Rose Chu <br />Mr. Tom Ray <br />Ms. Patti Sullivan <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Bryce Shearen, Parks and Recreation <br />Community Services Manager <br /> Mr. Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br /> Mr. Tom Fischer City Council Member <br /> Ms. Anna Leibel Recording Secretary <br /> Mr. Kevin Helander Cable TV Prod. <br /> <br /> <br />Schletty made a motion to approve the minutes from the July meeting. <br />Darling seconded the motion. The motion passed 4 – 0. <br /> <br /> <br />The Community Services Manager reported SEH was working on a draft <br />of the Parks Assessment Chapter, which City staff would be reviewing <br />when complete. He stated the survey was up and running, and the survey <br />can be accessed via the Little Canada website, which also has a link to the <br />project website, designed by SEH. Chair Miller explained the survey had <br />good questions, but the survey was difficult to use on tablets and <br />smartphones. The Community Services Manager shared an update in <br />regards to community engagement as well. He explained SEH would have <br />a booth at Canadian Days on Saturday. He explained there would be a <br />poster about wow park opportunities for Pioneer Park, and a general poster <br />asking residents about their perspectives.
